Happy Friday! It was a nice end to the week.
This morning during Math students looked at how a pattern rule describes a pattern of numbers. Students then looked at different number patterns to solve. We continued with our Classmate Biographies during Language. Students did a great job showing off their posters that they made their partners life. We will finish our Classmate Biographies on Monday. Today was the Terry Fox Run at Heritage and the grade 7's walked down to the Arboretum and back to show our support. Each student wore a sticker where they wrote a name of someone who they were walking for. We finished the day with History, learning about our second Indigenous group that European explorers had contact with, the Inuit. We learned about early Inuit culture and how they acted as guides, traders and taught the Europeans how to survive in the cold northern climate.
Homework:
Math: Finish questions 1-6 on pg. 16-17 in the Math workbook.
Language: Classmate Biography is due. This should be presented in the form of a poster or slideshow. Those who have not presented yet are encouraged to practice their presentation.
History: Finish the four questions on the Inuit.
