Happy Monday!
This morning we marked our second unit review in Math to prepare us for our Mission Impossible (Math Test) tomorrow October 4th. Students are asked to study their review this evening to prepare them. In Language students continued to research and fill out their graphic organizer for their Biography of a Famous Person assignment. Students should now have their graphic organizers complete and start their Slideshow using proper sentences from their answers. Students were continuing to create their ink (black paint) blot creatures, based on the monster from the novel Hide and Seeker to create their own creepy image. In History students continued to examine a map of Canada from 1713 and compare it to a more recent map of Canada from 1999-2001 and then answered mapping questions for 1713. Did you know that the Hudson’s Bay Company was formed in 1670 and is the “the oldest incorporated joint-stock merchandising company in the English-speaking world”. We then ended the day with a FLEX period where students practiced math questions to prepare them for their test tomorrow.
