It was a chill, but productive day after a pumpkin pie long weekend!

We started our second unit in Math on Ratio and Rate. Students worked on the intro to this unit by reviewing their skills on finding either the factors or multiples of different numbers. We finished the class by learning how to convert between different metric units. We started presenting our Biography of a Famous Person slideshows today. Those students who presented today really showed their interest and passion for the individuals that they chose to research. In Art, students continued their ink (black paint) blot creatures, based on the novel Hide and Seeker, to create their own creepy image. Students were also adding extra details to their pictures and writing a short narrative to go with what they created. We finished creating our historical map of Canada (1713) in History. Students did a great job labelling and colouring their maps. The Grade 7's finished he day with helping Mrs. H prepare our school for Dia de los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead. Students have started to create their own skull mask for our celebration on October 28th.
