It was a beautiful Fall Wednesday!

This morning during Math, reviewed the answers from our Math test (Mission Impossible!). After break, students continued to work on their slideshow for their Biography of a Famous Person. Students will begin their presentations on Thursday,  October 6.  In Art, students continued their ink (black paint) blot creatures, based on the monster from the novel Hide and Seeker to create their own creepy image. Students were adding extra detail to their pictures and writing a short narrative to go with what they created. During History, students began creating their own map of Canada in 1713. They added colour and labelled their map, as well as included a legend and compass rose. We ended the day with Mrs. H joining our class to discuss "Day of the Dead", a traditional Latin American holiday for honouring ancestors and loved ones who have died. Every year, students in Grade 7 support Mrs. H in hosting this holiday at our school and prepare various tables that other grades visit to learn about this holiday. The students are very excited to be a part of this experience.
