A great start to the week!
This morning during Math we continued practising how to sketch solids. Students demonstrated how to show a 3-dimensional object in 2 dimensions using isometric dot paper, as well as, drawing a pictorial diagram that gives the impression of a 3-dimensional shape because it's sketched using translation. For Language, students continued working on their Police Report for The Tell-Tale Heart. Afterwards, students had an introduction to using charcoal in Art, where students experimented with different types of charcoal and practised blending to give texture and form. During History, we learned about the Treaty of Utrecht (1713), which saw the land rights of French colonies given over to Britain. We ended the day with a Shoebox Ecosystem presentation.
Homework:
Math: Finish questions 1-4 on pg. 50-51 in the Math workbook.
Language: Finish the Police Report. It is due tomorrow.
History: Finish the 3 questions on the Treaty of Utrecht.
