It was a good Tuesday for getting things done!
We started this morning in Math with students continuing to find the surface area of a rectangular prism. During Language, students continued to work on their court cases against the Villain from The Tell-Tale Heart for the Insanity Plea activity. Each group is now preparing their case for our mock trial next week. For Art, students began creating sketches for their Odilon Redon-inspired charcoal drawings. Currently, students are sketching objects that are important to them, to transform them into their charcoal Symbolist art. After lunch, we continued with learning about the Colony of Acadia and how the British built a naval fortress in Halifax as a reaction to the French fortress of Louisbourg on Cape Breton. We ended the day with a FLEX period where students got the opportunity to finish any homework.
Homework:
Math: Finish questions 3-5 on pg. 59-60 in the Math workbook.
Language: Make sure you have found a quote from The Tell-Tale Heart and two reasons for the Insanity Plea activity.
History: Finish questions on the British Colony of Acadia.
