It was a pretty productive Thursday!
We started the day with working on our second unit review in Math on Ratio and Rate. Students will continue working on this unit review tomorrow. During Language, students worked on two creative writing activities based on what we learned about foreshadowing and flashbacks. First, students had to write a new beginning to The Tell-Tale Heart, where they had to create an event that causes the narrator of the story to have a flashback about the murder he committed. Second, students needed to continue the ending of the story by writing about what happened to the narrator after he revealed the old man's dismembered body under the floorboards. For Gym, students played frisbee at different centers trying to hit different targets. After lunch, students worked on a self assessment based on their different learning skills in class. These skills include responsibility, organization, independent work, collaboration, initiative and self-regulation. We ended the day with French, where students worked on independent projects.
Homework:
Math: Finish unit review questions 1-4 from the handout.
History: Historical Figure assignment is now due. Be ready to present tomorrow.
Science: Work on Shoebox Ecosystem assignment. Only one week left!
