Another productive Wednesday!
We started our introduction to our next unit in Math, Fractions and Decimals. To introduce students to the concept of fractions, students used pattern blocks to make their own mosaics and understand how certain shapes (blocks) fit into each other. For Language, students got back into their groups and started working on some of the feedback to help improve their performance. During Gym students learned the rules of badminton and then began playing doubles. After lunch, for Science, we continued to learn about protecting the environment. This time we looked at sustainable food choices, including growing your own food, buying locally and eating less meat. We ended the day with a FLEX period where students got to work on any unfinished assignments.
Homework:
Language: Practice reading over the script for the Tell-Tale Heart puppet show.
Science: Finish questions on pg. 40 (green duo-tang) about buying locally-grown food. Students are to list the names of food products purchased for home and what country they are from.
History: Finish the first two questions on the Fall of New France.
