Our last Monday of the 2022 school year!
This morning we continue our intro to Fractions where students coloured and cut out different pattern blocks to create their own mosaics. Through their mosaics students were able to recognize how different shapes fit into each other, demonstrating fractions. Today was our last read-through for the Readers Theatre version of the Tell-Tale Heart. Students worked on their character voices and staging for their performance tomorrow! For Art, we followed along with another "Learn to Draw" video; this time we learned to draw a Christmas Baby Grogu. After lunch, we started our next History assignment, The Fall of New France Newspaper Assignment. For this assignment, students are to pretend that they are a reporter for The Quebec City Chronicle and they are to write an article about the Battle of the Plains of Abraham from a French perspective. We ended the day with a FLEX period where students got to work on any unfinished assignments.
Homework:
Language: Practise reading over the script for the Reader's Theatre version of The Tell-Tale Heart. Students will be performing their puppet show tomorrow!
Science: Finish questions on pg. 40 (green duo-tang) about buying locally-grown food. Students are to list the names of food products purchased for home and what country they are from.
