Happy International Women's Day!
We started our day with a thoughtful class discussion about International Women's Day and why it's important to recognize this day. Students then worked on creating stickers to help promote and bring awareness to this important day. We continued with our Utopia presentations during Language. Each utopia brochure that was presented today was very thoughtful and well-designed. Today was also the big reveal for our Operation: Kaiju art project. For the next couple of periods, we did a class safari where students displayed their sculptures and then introduced us to their giant monsters. To set the mood for our Kaiju presentation, we used the Godzilla theme music as a soundtrack while each student explained their Kaiju's size, location, powers, weaknesses and any other interesting facts. All of the students did an AMAZING job sculpting their Kaiju! It's been a great day for presentations!
We ended the day with a FLEX period where students got to work on any unfinished assignments.
