It was a pretty productive Wednesday!

Today for Math, students learned how to calculate the volume of a cylinder. As a class, we are working on making sure we show each step in a formula and include the proper units of measurement. Our daily challenge today was t calculate the amount of Natural Gas the Gasometer from Oberhausen, Germany can hold! (see picture below) For Language, we finished working on the body of our essay. We learned how to add transition words to make our paragraphs read a little more smoothly. Students were busy adding their quotes and finishing their three paragraphs. For Health, students continued to work on their presentations for the Exploring Substances slideshow or poster. We continued after lunch to finish off our Climate Graphs for Geography. The Climate Graph is due on Friday. We ended the day with Science where we started to explore reasons for structural failure.

Homework:

Math: Finish Circle Slideshow. Watch Math Antic Videos and complete the Google Form Questionnaire. Due Friday.

Language: Finish writing the three paragraphs (body) for the essay. Essay is due on May 26.

Science: Finish questions on Structural Failure - pg. 26

Geography: Climate Graph is due Friday.

Art: Videos for Change is due May 26.

Health: Exploring Substances presentation is due Friday.
