It was a slow start after coming back from a long weekend, but we still got work done!

This morning for Math, students continued in their groups to work on four problem-solving activities based on circles and cylinders. For Language, we reviewed how to write an introduction paragraph and then learned how to write our concluding paragraph. Students then spent the rest of the period writing their introduction and concluding paragraphs. Afterwards, we continued working on our symmetry drawings for Art. Students looked for a portrait-style picture of a person of their choice to make their final symmetry drawing and began work setting up half the picture to a grid. For Science, we continued working on our Structural Safety questions and ended the day with Geography, where we continued looking at vegetation changes and answered questions about human and natural factors that impact vegetation patterns.

Homework:

Language: Finish writing both the introduction and conclusion paragraphs for the essay.

Science: Finish Ensuring Structural Safety questions.

Geography: Finish Vegetation Changes questions on Natural Factors.

Art: Videos for Change is due May 26.

Health: Exploring Substances presentation is due Friday.
