It was a great end to the week!

Today students reviewed the formulas for the circumference of circles and were introduced to the area of a circle formula. We watched a Math Antics video on the circumference and area of a circle, reviewed real-life applications of these formulas and then completed a Google Form Questionnaire. For Language, students continued to find examples from The Giver, to back up their points for their essay. We will be learning how to add quotes to our paragraphs on Monday. For Art, we continued working on symmetry in class. Using grid paper, students were given half of the face of a famous character, person or Pug and had to draw the other half, making it symmetrical to the original side. For Geography, we continued our look at climate changes and learned about both natural climate factors and human-related climate factors. We ended the day with Science, where we continued our exploration of forces that act on bridges. Today we learned about the four most common types of bridges: Beam, Truss, Arch and Suspension.
