Due to the poor air quality outside, we were unfortunately stuck indoors all day. But, that didn't stop us from learning!
We began the day by switching things up and having students work on their Farm Planning Project this morning. Students will get this week to plan their farm. For Language, students began the Movie Poster assignment. They are required to choose their favourite book, that has not been already made into a movie, and create a movie poster for it. We then transitioned into Art, where students worked in their dancing groups to practice their Pop Culture Dance! This afternoon we did Math and introduced the Geometric "MART" summative task. Students created their own Cartesian plane and image they will use for this activity. Today they had to plot the points of the original image and tomorrow, we are beginning to transform the image. We ended the day with Science. Students started planning their advertisement for an ergonomic design they created, based on an already existing item that they find uncomfortable (i.e. desk chair, game controller, etc).
Homework:
Math: Finish Challenge 1 of the Rotations Booklet (if not already handed in).
Language: Finish Cover Comparison questions.
Science: Think of an item for the ergonomic design assignment.
Geography: Documentary Questions are due tomorrow.
Art: Practice their Dance!
