It was a great start to the week!

Today was our last day investigating different transformations on a cartesian plane before we begin our "MARTH" (Math & Art) summative task tomorrow. Students have math homework tonight to prepare them for this new project. Please check the homework below. In Language, we compared various book covers and movie posters of The Giver. The student's task today was to answer the comparison questions of the book and movie covers that they liked the best. This is due tomorrow. The gym was closed due to the vaccination clinic, so some student groups presented their Health Projects on "Exploring Substances". We learned about the various life implications of using LSD, PCP, and Heroin. This afternoon, students worked with a partner to answer questions from the documentary "The Biggest Little Farm" we watched on Friday. These questions are due tomorrow.  We went for a quick body break and afterwards, students were introduced to a new assignment for Science. For their new assignment, students are to create an advertisement for an ergonomic design they created using an already existing item that they find uncomfortable (i.e. chair, desk, game controller, etc). We are beginning the designing and planning stage tomorrow.

Homework:

Math: Complete Challenge 1 on their Rotations Booklet.

Language: Finish Cover Comparison questions.

Science: Think of an item for the ergonomic design assignment.

Geography: Finish documentary questions about "The Biggest Little Farm".

Art: Determine your dance group and choose a song to sign up for tomorrow.
